Ruling (Wedge, 2026-08-10): the blog register’s voice — working notes made legible — becomes the default register for wiki pages and personal pages going forward. The opening is the post’s whole: a normalizing run-up with the thesis landing inside the opening paragraph, never a cold first-sentence claim. Flow outranks compression. WPW stays, everywhere.

The trigger was the first Personal-section draft (The Two Meanings of Ego), whose wiki-register opener read too heavy. The stated reason reaches past that page: the reader served is the one not versed in the dense style, and the dense style was making the whole site read like anyone could have built it. First scoped to personal pages, then widened the same hour: “shift to blog post style writing as a global setting for all of these pages moving forward aside from specific instances like Condensed pages, MOC etc.”

Scope as codified in Writing Standards §The Default Register: voice shifts, honesty stays — the High-Signal content disciplines (Specifics, Case Against, Boundaries, Quit Signals, Checkable Expectations, No Scaffolding, Delete List) still bind wiki pages. Forward only, on the WPW clause: new pages and substantial rewrites; no retrofit pass.

Keeping their own registers: Condensed Pages, MOCs and hub/index pages, decision documents (Verdict First), chrome and taglines (catalog lines).

Ruled later the same day, the continuous-generation repair law. The ego page’s first literature build read as mechanical — research-bank entries showing through, authorities filing past at one sentence each, paragraph joints announcing their own function. The accepted fix was a full re-telling: every section regenerated as one continuous explanation and filtered after, with the warmer on-ramp Wedge picked from two candidates. On his direction (“write down your fix… i kind of want all posts to follow this format”) the method is codified into Writing Standards §Blog Posts Are Working Notes Made Legible: regenerate, never patch; terms after the experience they name; sources enter a telling; joints pick up threads. It binds every post and, through the default register, wiki and personal pages with them.

Also codified the same day, on Wedge’s direction: the two egos enter the Personal Register as its voice law — self-regard held at zero, selfhood run as high as honesty allows — with three line-checks (the I owns events, wants, and judgments, never qualities; internal scoreboard only; the residue test), the Tsumugu maker paragraph as the accepted exemplar and the struck Personal-door intro clauses as the counter-sample. Ratified in full later the same day, Wedge’s words: “the standard on how you generated this post is now standard across all posts, with the exception of ‘special’ posts like the condensed versions.” That closes the exemption question — the exception class is the special pages, Condensed the named example, and the four listed above stand as its members.

Extended 2026-08-11, on the first self-talk page: names in footnotes. Body prose on sourced pages carries no source names or work titles — findings arrive as facts, numbers stay plain-clothed where operative, provenance lives only in the Sources block. His derivation, verbatim: “juggling new people in your brain adds an additional piece to an otherwise taxed out working memory… keep all working memory of the human dedicated to absorbing the content.” Codified in §The Default Register.

Open, awaiting Wedge’s ruling:

• Whether the names-in-footnotes law reaches back to the live ego page (wiki/Concepts/The Two Meanings of Ego, shipped with names in body) or runs forward-only like the register rulings.

• Em-dash scope. The total cut currently binds front-facing surfaces and blog posts only; wiki and personal prose may still carry the dash. If wiki pages now read as posts, does the cut travel with the register? Codified for now as unchanged (the 07-22 personal-register ruling explicitly kept dashes legal there).
