Epigrams never, in any writing

Owner, 2026-08-25: “epigrams are a pet peeve of mine and should never show up in any of the writing.” He said this after the grok-rows audit still quoted wiki epigrams. He ordered those rows changed to simple explanations.

What this closes. Intro QA used to allow an epigram as a conclusion after premises that earned it. That loophole is gone. Writing Standards used to leave instrument files outside the gate. Epigrams are now banned there too, including replies, reports, and workbench files.

What this does not retry. A list of “do not write epigrams” held in the writer’s head while composing was tried in August 2026 and produced the next epigram. The standing copy lives in the gate and in the rewrite pass: Writing Standards §3, Intro QA pillow, the Rewrite Prompt, GROK.md, Rejected Specimens 35. The generator files are not given another paragraph to hold.

The repair on a flagged line is a plain sentence that keeps the fact and the reason in the same breath. It is not a better punch.
