Wabi-Sabi

Wabi-sabi is an aesthetic stance that finds beauty in naturalness, simplicity, and subtle imperfection — age, wear, and work left unfinished, set against industrial gloss.

The stance is toward wear that has already been lived. It is not a license to ship sloppy work. Whether to lean into polish, softness, or deliberate roughness is a choice, not a law: people are also drawn to gloss and to curved forms, which is why this is a stance. In this vault it is a Human-track taste call — the half of the capability lens that scores what a person still has to own — not a learning technique.
