Mandarin Chinese Language Learning Resources
Pronunciation, character recognition, and immersion are kept as separate tracks with links between them. They are not mixed into one list of videos. Start with sound and with beginner input that you mostly already understand. The resources were collected for personal use. They are not a course with a set order.
How this list is used
Comprehensible input is speech or text you mostly already understand. Start with it, and with pinyin and sound, before you use character tools. Track simplified versus traditional, the two standard Chinese scripts, on every immersion row. Once you can follow beginner input reliably, move to harder channels, subscription video, and podcasts, which get you used to listening when you do not understand everything. Use character-specific tools only after you have started learning pronunciation. The introduction to characters is on Character Primer.
Each resource has a link and a short note. The categories group resources by what they are used for. They do not set an order in time. TeaTime Chinese and the two Mandarin Corner slow-intermediate playlists are marked TOP. The TOP mark is a personal ranking, and you do not have to follow it. Spaced-repetition decks are an optional category of tool and are not required. Content you have already watched and care about can also be used as input.
Gated cheat sheets, week-reflection templates, habit-tracker apps, graduation surveys, redacted primers, and testimonials are left off, because a stranger cannot use them.
The list, by job
Soft subs are toggleable captions. Hard subs are burned into the video. A metalayer is a subtitle or popup layer on top of real video. 3-channel means audio plus target-language captions plus native-language captions. A seeder playlist is a starter list used to train a recommendation feed.

What becomes daily
Which of these become daily immersion defaults after testing? Which should be tagged beginner, bridge, native, or stretch once they have been used?
Links collected for personal use go out of date and stop working. Gated links look like resources, but a stranger cannot open them. A long catalog makes it easy to spend time collecting links instead of watching. Time spent choosing resources is time taken away from input. If nothing on the list becomes part of daily practice, adding more to the list will not help. To check the list, confirm that every immersion row has a script tag and that something on it was used this week.
