Vietnamese Language Learning Resources
Start Vietnamese study by choosing Northern or Southern pronunciation on purpose. Do not mix the two as if they were one sound system. Begin with beginner input and material on sound. Add a tool only when it removes a pause in your study.
How this list is used
Northern and Southern are the two widely taught Vietnamese pronunciation standards. Pick one. Several beginner channels already have a dialect tag. Most native channels are marked “unsure of dialect”. That mark is more useful than a made-up Northern or Southern tag. Comprehensible input is speech or text you mostly already understand. Start with that.
A metalayer is a subtitle or popup layer on top of real video. A seeder playlist is a starter list used to train a recommendation feed. Add tools only when they remove a difficulty you hit during immersion. A spaced-repetition deck is optional. Content you have watched before and already care about counts as a source.
Gated cheat sheets, week-reflection templates, habit-tracker apps, graduation surveys, and redacted primers cannot be used by a stranger, so they are left out. On the live page, one row for children’s content linked to the wrong channel, so that row is left out too.

What becomes daily
After testing, which of these resources become daily immersion defaults, and in which dialect? After they have been used, which should be tagged beginner, bridge, native, or stretch? A tag of “unsure” is still better than a made-up Northern or Southern tag.
A list collected by one person goes out of date. Links to gated material look like resources, but a stranger cannot open them. Time spent choosing resources reduces the time spent on input. If no dialect-tagged resource comes into daily use, the list itself is not what will change that. The Hán-Việt Bridge goes in the reverse direction from these Vietnamese resources: it uses Sino-Vietnamese vocabulary to give a learner an advantage when starting Mandarin.
